General description of the project type and size
PS35Q is a 4 story new addition to Nathaniel Woodhull Elementary School located in Hollis, Queens totaling 27,950 sqft. This addition accompanies the original 3-story 1931 building and a 2-story addition completed in 1997. The new addition provides a dual purpose Gymatorium, Kitchen/Servery & Cafeteria, a Library, a Music Suite, as well as Science and Art Rooms. Renovations to the existing buildings on this project include 1931 cellar layout revisions with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection upgrades, as well as the creation of 4 new classrooms, an administrative suite, and an indoor play space. The 1931 building roof was replaced, while improvements to the existing yard were made to include a new basketball court, seating areas, and landscaping.
