Mr. Del Russo has received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Newark College of Engineering (NJIT). He is the Principal and Chief Executive Officer of Del-Sano Contracting Corp. In the early 70’s Mr. Del Russo incorporated Del-Sano. In those years he was trained and learned the building trades while physically working as a journeyman carpenter, Project Superintendent, Project Manager and ultimately expanding the company into a bonded public construction contract opportunities. Del-Sano has built projects in various contract formats such as GC Stipulated Sum, HUD Cost Plus, AIA Design Build, and AIA Construction Management at Risk.
Del-Sano has held DPMC or Schools construction qualifications for many years. In the early 1980’s Del-Sano built new construction and renovation projects for private higher education colleges and universities. Del-Sano with Mr. Del Russo as the Project Executive constructed the Sr. Vivian Jennings Library at Caldwell College,and the Materials Lab at Stevens Institute of Technology,or the Waksman Braun Laboratory roof addition for Rutgers University in New Brunswick NJ, and the Maintenance Building and Studios at Montclair State University. in the 1990’s Del-Sano built the Mt Vernon Elementary School Addition Newark NJ,and the Pingry School Middle School Addition,as well as the Elementary School Addition for St. Robert Bellarmine
School in Monmouth NJ. In Hoboken Del-Sano performed a modified Design Built of the former Martha Institute, The Hoboken Charter School.There were also numerous Design Build projects for Stevens Institute in Hoboken along with the award winning De Baun Auditorium restoration at Stevens.
Mr. Del Russo has over 45 years of experience in the construction industry. Forty one of those years as the Owner and CEO of Del-Sano. He is a day to day and an engaged company Owner. Many days, he is working with the estimating or project management team constantly viewing project constructability and seeking value engineering opportunity or managing budgets. His leadership has allowed Del-Sano to expand Performance Bond capacity to $200,000,000 and Single Project capability to $70,000,000.
