Scope Of Work

With a growing need to expand, Sekisui Voltek chose AVB as their construction management partner to complete an addition to their Coldwater, MI location. This addition added a new client entrance to enhance their visitor experience, as well as a new kitchenette area for employees, a new conference room, and new office spaces. Large windows were incorporated into the exterior to let in plenty of sunlight, as well as into the interior office walls, giving the new addition a more open concept feel without removing any of the office’s or conference room’s privacy.

This addition was completed while the remaining building stayed open and active. Adding on to an occupied building took a fair amount of coordination to accommodate any shutdowns needed for construction. Additionally, the existing building roof structure had to be reinforced to accommodate the new addition, which added a layer of complexity to the project. Finally, the AVB team helped the owners go through an extensive value engineering process during pre-construction to ensure the owners hit all their budget targets.
