Scope Of Work
Construction of two separate structures on-site included a new 6,200 sq. ft. fire station and a 4,000 sq. ft. garage & workshop known as the Wires division. A temporary, modular structure known as the Quansett Hut garage was built on a separate site. The new Fire Station also houses an area dedicated to the Newton DPW Water & Sewer division. The construction was carefully planned to avoid disturbing the tight residential neighborhood on a busy street. The two-story building features two apparatus bays, gear room, offices, sleeping quarters, kitchen, day room, and fitness area.
