Scope Of Work
This project consisted of building a new combined storm sewer overflow (CSO) lift station and converting the existing lagoon detention ponds to temporary holding ponds for processing of overflow capacity during storm events.
The CSO lift station wet well is over 30 ft. deep and required the use of benched excavation and sheet piling to complete the concrete structures. 60” fiberglass piping was utilized for the below grade and above grade force mains. A new terminal lift station and aeration processing system were added to the west side of the plant facility to increase the overall capacity of the existing plant facility by over 4 million Gallons Per Day (GPD). Aggregate piers stabilize the soils under the new 20 ft. tall x 100 ft. diameter aeration tanks. The existing plant digesters were upgraded to a new energy efficient thermal process system.
This upgrade included ten (10) new building structures to the existing 80 acre plant site, including a new garage building and new sludge treatment building. This project incorporated 750+ tons of reinforcement steel and 25,000+ cubic yards of concrete.
