Scope Of Work
Korte & Luitjohan Contractors, Inc., was chosen as the general contractor for the development of The Leon Corlew Park & Splash Pad in Edwardsville, IL. This is the first of three park projects underway in the city.
The centrally located park consists of 3 acres and features a fully accessible spray ground (splash pad) and a dry playground designed with special ADA standards built into the site. Other amenities include oversized water features, safety turf, no-slip surfaces, restrooms/concessions, shade structures, a walking/fitness trail, native plantings with signage, and a butterfly garden. All features are accessible and safe for children of varying ages and abilities.
The Leon Corlew Park will serve an area of Downtown Edwardsville that did not have a park within walking distance before.
