Scope Of Work
Hogan provided Design-Build Services for this 22-month, $20,000,000, multi-phase addition and renovation project which took place on an occupied campus, requiring us to work around existing operations. This project included the addition of a fine arts building which features an auditorium, band, orchestra, choral and art classes. The addition consisted of a two-story, steel structure, classroom building with an envelope of brick and curtain wall construction. The scope also included the renovation of a kitchen to contain a small extension for cooler space and a complete renovation of the electrical systems, science labs, rest rooms, kitchen, cafeteria, media center, and general classrooms. Site work included the extension of drop-off driveways, new student and visitor parking lots, a new football field, new running track, and new tennis courts.
The work was completed with tight site constraints, and in phases while school was in session and out for summer break. Students were transitioned from existing classes into temporary classrooms during the renovation. Additionally, constant revisions were made to evacuation plans and the flow of students during class changes, in order to meet the requirements and approval of the Fire Marshall.
