Scope Of Work
JE Dunn completed a 24,000-square-foot expansion for one of Atlanta’s most highly acclaimed schools. The Ron Clark Academy (RCA) not only teaches students, but also trains teachers from all over the country. Approximately 300 teachers visit RCA each Friday during the school year to be trained by Ron Clark, founder of RCA, and his team.
This project was built to help accommodate the hundreds of teachers who visit every week. Clark and his team decided that the best way to provide a world-class teacher training facility was to expand their current space. JE Dunn worked to make this vision a reality. The project included providing not only an expansion to the school, but also a multi-purpose teacher training facility. The project scope encompassed a total expansion of 24,000 square feet.
The multi-use facility will not only be used for training purposes, but will also be home to RCA’s basketball gymnasium. This space is unique as it will be used to accommodate two key functions: an educator training facility, as well as a gymnasium for competitive basketball games. JE Dunn also added six classrooms, a dining area, catering kitchen, and multiple storage and office spaces.
