Scope Of Work
Science Building
New construction of a state-of-the-art 35,000 s.f. University Science Building. This building consists of a structural steel frame with metal deck / concrete floors, a cement plaster exterior, and copper roof and flashing. The facility includes labs, lecture rooms, and offices. ($19.2M)
Sister Samuel Conlan Recreation Center
New construction of a 45,000 s.f. multi-use recreation center. Included are a 14,000 s.f. gymnasium with bleacher seating for 1,200; 20,000 s.f. of support facilities providing offices, locker/shower rooms and exercise training facilities; and a 10,000 s.f. outdoor swimming center. This was a one-story CMU and wood frame building with Vulcraft trusses at the gym. Site work included extensive landscaping and an 80,000 s.f. parking lot for 215 cars. ($6.6M)
Guzman Hall
Miscellaneous upgrades and the installation of a new elevator in a historic, 78 year old, 3-story main administration building that remained fully occupied throughout construction. Work included new electrical service to five buildings, a new fire alarm system throughout the entire building, a new ADA bathroom and a storage room. Elevator work included structural demolition, and construction of a new shaft, elevator installation with smoke curtains, and tie-in to existing custom finishes. Work was completed over summer vacation and finished before students returned for the fall semester. ($690K)
