Square Footage: 15,000 total s.f. Type I new construction
This project at Calvin Simmons Middle School within the Oakland Unified School District was performed as a Cahill/Focon Joint Venture through a lease-leaseback delivery method. The work was completed in two phases:
Career Tech Laboratory (Phase I)
Type I new construction of a Career Tech Lab, a two-story building consisting of two life science laboratories, a biochemistry lab, a health lab, and support spaces.
Classroom & Site Improvements (Phase II)
Modernization of existing classrooms and site improvements, including various upgrades to accommodate the middle school expansion for Life Academy.
