Scope Of Work
The Montebello Unified School District approved construction of a 71,000 SF applied technology center which includes 20 trade classrooms. The trade classes include judicial, business, engineering, culinary arts, biological, and various other trades. The Project was awarded under the Lease / Leaseback delivery method. DJM was selected to be the developer on this project because of our strong performance with other school districts delivering on similar sized projects. Because of an early selection process, DJM was given the opportunity to provide constructability review and VE recommendations. DJM, during negotiations, presented a work plan, phasing and sequencing, value engineering and other client requested services for review. This 700 student High School facility will provide an Academy Learning environment for years to come. The Kitchen has over 250 individual food service items, to include a full service cafeteria, walk in coolers and freezers, and a 3200sqft teaching kitchen complete with state of the art audio and video systems to facilitate classroom learning and broadcasting. The 70+ acre site also served as transportation storage for 40 buses. The project was completed in 21 months.
