Fountains, from the Latin “fontis” (a source or spring), originated as a pure drinking water source that gathered into a basin which emanating from an architectural element that was    either a decorative centerpiece or designed for dramatic effect.  In the 14th century the Moors were the first to express the fountain as public elements of pride, later refined by the Italians in the 15th and 16thcenturies in courtyards and gardens and then refined to an art form by the French in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Today we still have the pleasure of a fountain both visually and from an auditory sensation.  Yet, while the ancient Greeks used the elements of gravity and the principle of a siphon to generate our fascination with fountains, today’s technology allows us the pleasure of dynamic movement of water, integrated with lighting all while choreographed with music that’s programmed to meet our changing desires.

Fantasy Fountains, a certified Women’s Business Enterprise Council (WBEC) business, is wholly owned by Michele Hoolihan (President).  Founded in 1989, Michele continues to achieve historical attributes along with her client’s visions and desired outcomes while balancing design, costs and technology developed for aesthetic effect and long term maintenance objectives.

Production Following documentation approval we will produce you fountain through the process of:
