Scope Of Work
Located on the “Gold Coast” of Westchester, Long Island Concrete supplied and installed both Structural and Architectural Concrete on this Modern Residence.
This was a very complex structure with irregular shapes; and long concrete spans and cantilevers that required cambering and 100’s of tons of reinforcing steel.
On the Architectural side, the Architects design required that all exposed concrete surfaces, including exterior and interior walls and ceilings, had a “Wood plank” look. This was accomplished by attaching 1000’s of linear feet of 1”x8” rough sawn hemlock plank to the inside of the concrete forms. Form liner was not an option since the Architect wanted each impression to have a unique and different look.
This project was extremely successful in that we were able to maintain a high quality of construction while staying within the project budget.
