HY Floor & Gameline Painting Inc. started out in 1969 as a small company that specialized in the maintenance, refinishing and painting of gymnasium wood floors. When the founder of HY Floor, Nick Young, retired in 1984, Steve Heller purchased the company.
From Nick’s loyal customers and reputation for quality work, Steve built an impressive client base of Universities, Municipalities, Museums, YMCA’s and K-12 schools that call him back year after year to maintain their wood floors. And in order to keep the crew busy year round, HY expanded into installing wood floors. The floors we installed are in the best schools, hotels and corporate buildings in California. Some places you can find them include HP, Levi Stadium, Ritz Carleton, Apple, Linked-In, Genentech, Samsung and Google. Some of our long-standing school accounts include Stanford, UCLA, Santa Clara University, San Jose State, San Francisco State, Menlo School and USF. Our services include installation, sanding, staining, finishing and painting wood floors as well as installation of volleyball floor sleeves and floor leveling. Most of our field employees have been with us over 10 years and have finished hundreds of floors.
