Scope Of Work

A ribbon cutting was held Wednesday, February 14th at the Lookout Drive Transfer Station, officially recognizing the opening of the new facility. The Transfer Station holds residential trash less than 24 hours before it is transferred to a landfill, and replaces the previous facility at the site constructed in 1976.

The new facility is fully enclosed and designed to reduce odor, noise and litter, meeting California transfer station regulations, the most stringent in the nation. It also features a “top load” design that improves efficiency, allowing for larger outgoing loads, reducing the number of trips to the landfill and saving on fuel costs, emissions and vehicle wear and tear.
