Jason Burton is the President of JB Dirtworks Inc. located in San Diego, California. Jason began his career at a young age in 1986 working for Chilcote Incorporated in their heavy equipment repair facility. From there, he went on to work in the family grading business where he gained experience in every role from Foreman to Estimator to heavy equipment Operator. Jason feels very fortunate that he has been able to work with the same quality people for many years, which gives him the confidence to successfully tackle any challenge they may face. Jason specializes in providing solutions for complicated situations derived from the many variables that can be present on complex projects, while avoiding heavy costs to the client. Jason’s dedication to his client’s success, his hard work, and integrity have earned him an excellent reputation. When he’s finally taking a break from work, Jason likes to have fun but enjoys it more when he can share it with his family and friends.

Nick Hogue is the Vice President of JB Dirtworks, Inc. When Nick joined the industry back in 2005, he had no idea his role would grow into what it has today. Nick feels very fortunate to have been mentored by some of the best in the industry, which has given him the knowledge and skills to become a successful Grade Checker and Foreman. Nick’s experience has given him the ability to visualize the process for completing a project from beginning to end. He is a natural leader, able to give his team direction while focusing on the critical path. Nick appreciates being able to work in various locations throughout Southern California and enjoys seeing his projects complete. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family while camping and riding in the dunes.

Jennifer Thorpe-Hardman, Project Estimator at JB Dirtworks is the newest member of the team.  Jennifer's background includes earth retention systems, and deep foundations working as estimator and regional estimating coordinator for McMahon Construction and Condon-Johnson & Associates.  Jennifer started as a interim bookkeeper and filled in as a project estimator and never looked back.  She enjoys the bidding process and quickly became a key player in winning bids.  Jennifer has been part of some of San Diego's large private downtown excavations as well as Southern California's public works projects.  Currently residing in Lakeside, Ca., she loves to spend time with her family and as a mother of three boys, she is comfortable in a predominantly male dominated field.  She hopes to bring her experience and knowledge to bring JB Dirtworks to the forefront of all General Contractors when seeking an earthwork sub-contractor.
