Najarian Associates was retained by Middlesex County to repair and reconstruct Merrill Park, a unique and very popular park in the Township of Woodbridge, NJ.
Located on the South Branch of the Rahway River, Merrill Park sits on 179 acres and includes wooded picnic groves, a domestic animal zoo, a large “Progressive Playground,” soccer fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, jogging/biking loop, and bathroom facilities. The Park’s athletic courts, bituminous paths, and drainage systems were in a state of extreme disrepair.
Planned Improvements
Najarian Associates developed a reconstruction plan to:
Repair four tennis courts
Repair two basketball courts
Make drainage improvements adjacent to the loop road and playground area
