Scope Of Work
An addition more than doubled Door Creek Church’s ministry space, and phased construction and budget adjustments enabled uninterrupted
ministry throughout the process. Mid-way through the planning phase, the team was able to reduce project costs by $800,000 to make funds available for the congregation’s community outreach activities. The change was made without reducing the size of the addition. The 300-seat chapel with 30-foot ceilings is the focal point of the addition, which also included a café, several seating areas, a fireside room, a chapel, classrooms, meeting space and a large group venue for youth. The existing atrium, auditorium, library
and children’s ministry were remodeled, and an amphitheater was constructed to accommodate outdoor worship services and performances. Despite the budget reduction in the planning process, NCI-Roberts was able to deliver a give-back to the Door Creek congregation in addition to facilitating tax savings through owner-direct purchasing.
