Scope Of Work
Unique design enables a true sense of community in this mega-church. When additional service times and satellite worship spaces could no longer accommodate its exponential growth, Blackhawk Church developed 10 acres of rural suburban land. Multiple sanctuary spaces in the 130,000 square foot facility create more intimate settings and allow for a variety of worship styles. A large parking structure with both covered and exposed stalls enables extensive growth and accessibility, and is shared with adjacent businesses. Unique to the building is a central atrium courtyard reminiscent of a shopping mall with a variety of small-group seating options, and an adjacent coffee shop, bookstore and fireside
room. The building and site were constructed to accommodate expansion, including an exterior wall built to allow for easy removal when a second phase of construction begins.
