Scope Of Work
In the initial phases of the project we had to remove structural elements of the area which would become the expanded generator room. A concrete mezzanine and concrete walls had to be removed. All debris from this work had to be removed from the area via steps and ramps to our dumpster area. We had to develop plans and procedures that would allow us to remove portions of the existing emergency system while phasing in the new systems. In order to place the generator in the generator room, we had to remove a portion of the asphalt parking lot, concrete roof panels, to vertically drop the generator through the roof opening since the generator was much larger that the door opening into the room. Associated work included the removal and replacement of an underground diesel storage tank, installation and connections for a new heat exchanger, the installation of sound dampening wall panels, and the installation of a new double ended switchboard.
