Scope Of Work
The initial phase of the project was a 6000 square foot demolition of Halls 27 and 29. The shell of Hall 27 was renovated back to its original construction. MEP services were then installed to allow the 3000 square foot area to be used for temporary exhibits. Hall 29 became the exhibit space for the New Butterflies + Plants: Partners for Evolution. This exhibit included the design and construction a cocoon shaped resin and aluminum enclosure comprised of welded vertical aluminum ribs and cross members covered with a custom 3-form resin panels. Along with the renovation and construction of the exhibit and space we fabricated and installed new 2-story Blast Windows in the exterior wall of Halls 27, 28, and 29.
