Scope Of Work
Caddell is responsible for the construction of a three-story administrative office building totaling approximately 334,000 SF that provides administrative office space to accommodate 1,200 employees. The project includes numerous and varied functionalities, including offices, data centers, fitness center, secure areas, vault-type areas and rooms, sound transmission prevention, tamper resistant construction, antiterrorism, and blast prevention design. It will serve as the headquarters for the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration.
The facility will be submitted for USGBC LEED Gold accreditation after completion. The structure will have rooftop solar panels estimated to generate 200 kilowatts of energy for the facility, and the building orientation is designed to minimize western exposure and, consequently, reduce its energy load.
