Scope Of Work
Sturgeon Electric’s transportation team in Phoenix successfully completed work on a new light rail project for Valley Metro and the city of Mesa, Arizona. The 1.9 mile Gilbert Road extension will serve the growing transit needs of the East Valley and connect riders to other transportation options in Tempe and Phoenix. Sturgeon crews installed 64 street lights, ten traffic signals, two miles of fiber optic interconnect plus power and lighting systems to two station platforms, two retention basins plus a park-n-ride lot. Sturgeon Electric’s portion of the work took two years to complete.
