Scope Of Work
The headquarters for Sony Pictures Entertainment, located in Culver City, is the first major production studio to be LEED-Gold certified. Superior Wall Systems was selected to complete metal stud framing, drywall and rain screen panels on the project.
Superior Wall Systems was selected to complete metal stud framing, drywall and rain screen panels. With a project scope including a new central plan, two new office buildings, a 1,100-car parking structure and more than seven acres of site improvements, the flexible open floors, a health facility and a commissary that opens into a new campus park create an open, collaborative environment for all Sony Staff. Designed in the traditional Art Deco style used consistently throughout the studio’s 70-year history—since MGM’s 1938 Thalberg building—the new Sony Lot enjoys distinction as the first major production studio to be LEED-Gold certified.
