Our Story
von Rohr Equipment was opened in 1953 as a family operated welding
supplies business in Montclair, New Jersey. Hubert Herbert von Rohr
was the then chief executive officer. Subsequently, Jim Von Rohr
followed in his father footsteps moving the ever-growing business to
Bloomfield, New Jersey for the next 40 years.
While attending college in the late 1970's John Cancelliere
worked part time at von Rohr Equipment to pay for his education. He
developed special relationships with the ownership at von Rohr
Equipment and their customer base. John went on to purchase von Rohr
Equipment in the summer of 1993. In 2000, the operation was relocated
to the current base in East Orange, New Jersey.
Today, von Rohr Equipment maintains a large diverse inventory in our 150,000 square-foot warehouse. von Rohr has the right tools, equipment and supplies in stock. von Rohr Equipment is also an Authorized Warranty Repair Center for many of the top manufacturers in the industry.
Our team is what drives our success with their knowledge and experience and the support of our customer base.
Our Staff of Inside Sales Representatives are available Monday through Friday from 6:00AM - 6:00PM to answer any questions and arrange for deliveries.
Our Outside Sales Representatives provide complete customer service including technical information and job site demonstrations. Our current fleet of 20 trucks deliver to job sites in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
