Scope Of Work
Lights! Camera! Action! The new 750-seat freestanding Stony Point High School Auditorium opened its doors in the fall of 2018. Understanding that students who participate in the arts are more likely to be academically successful, Round Rock ISD sought to provide state-of-the-art facilities for its young people to pursue their creative passions.
As you move from the outdoor plaza and into the lobby, you will notice curved beams which simulate movement and were inspired by Stony Point’s dance program. The lobby serves as an overflow area with spaces designated for students to display their artwork.
The District was keen on providing a high-quality facility with modern audio and lighting systems. These systems were designed specifically to be used by theater production students. Additional features include an orchestra pit, fully fly loft, stage rigging and curtains, scene ship with loading dock access, green room, lighting catwalks, sound and lighting control room, public restrooms, concession and ticket booths, piano, equipment and lighting storage, and offices.
Bartlett Cocke General Contractors is proud of our 10+ year relationship with Round Rock ISD. We are grateful to have been cast as the District’s builder for the Stony Point High School Auditorium project and for having played a role in helping the District’s students pursue their creative aspirations.
