Scope Of Work
The two-story building includes many dramatic architectural features, including a “butterfly” roof representing Da Vinci’s fascination with the possibility of flight. Situated on the corner of Cedar Crest Boulevard and the Hamilton Street Bypass, the building is designed to reflect the scientific work that will happen inside when teachers, students, families, and scientists work together to “think like Leonardo” finding creative solutions to scientific problems. The center houses exhibits, high-tech interactive displays, demonstration areas and space for traveling exhibits. Outside, there is a 102-foot wind turbine that will help power the facility.
