Scope Of Work
Construction of a new state-of-the-art facility on a 9.2-acre site in Philadelphia’s Fairmont Park. Home to the Arthur Ashe Reading is Fundamental Room, the two-story facility also provides eight indoor tennis courts, a fitness room, locker rooms, administrative offices, and areas for studying, community meetings, and special projects. Outdoors, the center provides eight additional all-weather tennis courts, including a tournament court with stadium seating.
Indoor courts are housed in a pre-engineered steel structure with standing seem metal roof. Remaining spaces are brick and concrete block. Foundations are cast-in-place concrete. A second pre-engineered building houses a regulation basketball court and features a synthetic gym floor, bleachers, additional community rooms, and flex space.
