Scope Of Work
In an effort to consolidate operations from nine regional facilities into a single complex in the center of Detroit, Compuware commissioned Walbridge to manage construction of its flagship, 1.1 million-square-foot headquarters. The award-winning 17-story complex and attached parking structure offers corporate offices, street-level retail and restaurant space, food court, wellness center, daycare, 30,000-square-foot data center, and other supporting spaces. Use of stone, finished metals and high performance glass systems accentuate the sophistication of the building, while ensuring durability. The 14-story glass atrium provides unparalleled grandeur, opening to the historic Campus Martius Park and fountain.
Approximately 279,000 cubic yards of demolition debris was removed during site excavation, which required extensive infrastructure upgrades. The successes of the project highlight the collaboration efforts between Walbridge and municipal partners such as; the City of Detroit, Michigan Department of Transportation and the Downtown Development Authority.
