Scope Of Work
When Veterans High School was built by Parrish Construction Group, it was the first new high school to open in Houston County in 18 years. The school now occupies 86 acres of its 150-acre site. The $53.3 million, 300,000 square foot two-story facility accommodates 1,600 students, and houses 82 instructional units, a gymnasium, a commercial kitchen with dining room, library, and auditorium. Elective studies are held in state-of-the-art rooms fully equipped for students to learn and gain hands-on experience in Agricultural Studies, Home Economics, Art, Graphics, Band, Chorus, Technology, Drama, and ROTC. Veterans High School was completed four months ahead of schedule, and $646,317 under budget.
