Scope Of Work

Three story 75,000 square foot LEED project, houses the departments 5th precinct and the city’s Office of Emergency Management. EPIC Interiors provides exterior framing, roof trusses, drywall, acoustical ceilings and related carpentry trades work. Rick Banghardt, EPIC Interiors Manager states “SPI was awarded acoustical ceilings, metal studs, insulation and drywall on this project due to a record of dependable service, quality products and competitive price.” EPIC had acoustical wall panels for the project Command Center in their scope. SPI was invited to quote Absorption Plus panels as they met the panel performance specification. The short lead time (3 weeks typical), panel acoustic and fire test performance, submittals and competitive price, convinced EPIC to award them the panels to SPI. Rick also noted “purchasing the complete, interior package from one trusted supplier was easier from a coordination standpoint.” EPIC was very satisfied with the quality of the Absorption Plus panels. They were especially impressed with panel turnaround time as a late scope change required additional panels be fabricated. Rick noted the extra panels were on site within a week which exceeded our expectations. “We’ll definitely use Absorption Plus panel service again.”
