Scope Of Work

The West Crossover Modernization project provided upgrades to the high-traffic and high-visibility area atop the arrivals escalator at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The project is situated between the north and south baggage claims and included new terrazzo tile, restroom renovations and the relocation and modernization of the information desk.

This project involved an extremely high degree of coordination with multiple parties, including Landside Operations, DOA project management staff, the airport fire department, AATC, concessions tenants and other general contractors.

Dunn Aviation Group began work each night while passengers were still in the terminal, re-routing passengers to facilitate the work. Each night, work hours were adjusted based on passenger traffic flow; flexibility was the key to this project, as passenger safety and convenience always remained priority number one.
