Scope Of Work
This design build project renovated three 4-story Barracks at Naval Amphibious Base, Coronado. The three barracks are Buildings B-320, B-321, and B323. The Barracks provide unaccompanied military personnel with adequate, comfortable housing. The three basic functional considerations of BEQs are the Living Units, Building Common Areas, and Recreational Areas. A Living Unit is composed of a bedroom, personal storage closet, bathroom, sink/personnel hygiene area, telephone, cable, and computer outlets for each room occupant. The Building Common Areas are programmed spaces within the building that are not included within the Living Unit such as: lounge / activity area, utility, mail service, stairs, circulation space, vending areas, and more. Recreation and meeting areas include passive outdoor activity areas.
