The Crucible Building was an existing steel fabrication shop, Franjo Construction completed the renovation making it a Class A office building for Uber. The open concept includes 26′ ceilings, polished concrete floors, multiple kitchenettes cafeterias, a premier reception desk, data & communications for 900 staff.
The project won a “Certificate of Merit” in the Large category at AIA Pittsburgh’s 2019 Awards. The intent of UBER ATG’s expansion into The Crucible Building was to provide a cutting edge workplace environment that celebrated the history of the building they occupied their own connection to the Pittsburgh region.
