Scope Of Work
New construction, Design/Build, 15,000 sq. ft. building for maintaining extensive fleet of trailers and trucks. Project was “fast track” on a compressed schedule.
KBS assembled the project team that included design and engineering. While designing the maintenance building, the project team developed an alternative to the disposal of thousands of gallons of used motor oil. Using an environmentally friendly boiler, which turns waste oil into heat, it is transferred to hot water which is circulated throughout the concrete slab. This system now turns the waste oil into an efficient, yet comfortable source of heat for the new building and saves the expense of hauling off the used oil.
