Scope Of Work
As a famous landmark on South Beach, the Shelborne Resort dates back to the 1940’s, when it debuted as one of the most luxurious and popular new vacation and nightlife destinations in Miami. After many years of decline and neglect, the property was purchased and the new owners sought to capitalize on the former hotel’s rich history of luxury and stardom with a large revitalization project, to attract new guests and beckon back those that held fond memories of the resort. WINMAR spearheaded the historic renovation and modernization project, acting as general contractor for the $40 million renovation investment to rejuvenate and modernize this oceanfront icon, focusing on updates that highlighted the Art Deco era look and feel.Some highlights and additions included renovated rooms and residential condominiums, drawing room, and updated lobby, as well as a two new hotel restaurants, Morimoto and The Drawing Room.
