Scope Of Work
This project began as a classroom renovation and quickly grew upon award. All of the walls for the 1st floor classrooms were pushed out to the roof line, the administration area was relocated to a 1900 SF addition on the front of the building, several roofs were replaced and we installed a new state-of-the-art playground and front brick paver entrance for the SIT team. While this project encountered many challenges with changing scope, tight deadlines and extensive involvement with the administration and SIT team, Dustin/Winmar turned each challenge into an opportunity to give the students, administration and community a school all parties could be proud of. The DCPS standard is 50 light candles per classrooms; after metering several locations Dustin/Winmar was able to achieve over 100 foot candles in the classrooms and 80 in the corridors.
