Scope Of Work
When winning Spanish tapas + wine bar Barcelona found its way to the nation’s capital, WINMAR was the go-to construction management firm to get the work done for the launch of the concept in the region. The Barcelona team needed to make the first regional restaurant an impressive one, and the large full-service restaurant and bar is supplemented by a large, year-round outdoor dining area, replete with a large fireplace, bench and lounge seating, and glass walls to allow ease of access to the patio, and to as a showcase for the interiors. The rustic details of wood-paneled walls, orignal skylights and architectural elements of the original structure set the stage for the true Spanish dining experience. Bartecta was so pleased with the project that WINMAR was tapped to build subsequent locations, including the Barcelona at Reston Town Center, and the Cathedral Commons location in upper NW DC.
