Scope Of Work

The city of American Fork, Utah was settled in the 1800s by Mormon pioneers. In 1911, a bank was built in the heart of the community on Main Street. This would mark the first Bank of American Fork branch. The branch, however, would become a casualty of the Great Depression in the mid-1930s. And though the company of the Bank of American Fork dissolved for a short time, the building itself survived. That bank still stands on Main Street today. In 2014, the building was again acquired by the Bank of American Fork. Immediately after the purchase, plans were set in motion to renovate the remodel the 103-year-old building that is currently on the historic registry.

The historic exterior was preserved while the interior was renovated. Construction also included a structural upgrade on the 2-story building, as well as updates to the mechanical and electrical systems. Big-D Construction has extensive experience in historic renovation. During the renovation, crews worked with CRSA Architecture to try and mirror the original style of the bank to when it was first constructed more than a century ago.

Today, the historic building now houses the administrative office of People’s Utah Bancorp.
