Scope Of Work
This completed project provided for interior renovation (500SF) and an addition/expansion (1,000SF) to the existing Bldg. 700 in support of the Ingenia 1.5T Omega HP MRI system and associated equipment.
This specialty construction required RF and magnetic shielding for the entire expansion so that the MRI system’s resonance would not exit the structure. This included RF shield at all wall, ceilings, floors, and HVAC ducts/vents. Magnetic shielding was required at distinct walls.
As the General Contractor on the Bid-Build contract, Halbert Construction was required to frequently meet with the MRI design team to coordinate schedules, materials, and particular system requirements for construction.
