Scope Of Work
Complex renovation involving vertical expansion, adding a 215,000 sq.ft. second floor to an existing shopping mall. This required 120 columns to support the new second level.
Construction occurred between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., moving all of the tenants’ merchandise every night and returning it every morning before the mall opened in order to keep the mall operational throughout construction.
Clark Construction Company won the coveted national Motorola/AGC “Build America” award for this complex project.
Additional construction included a parking structure connected to the expansion and 120-foot, covered pedestrian walkway to transport mall customers from the parking ramp into the retail destination and out of the elements.
