Scope Of Work
DeIulis Brothers successfully negotiated this historic home project, which took nearly two years to complete and included such features as a geo-thermal HVAC system and an elevator. Radiant floor heating was also installed in several areas of the home and tied into the geo-thermal system. Every window in this Energy Star home was replaced with custom made, true divided light, putty profile, thermal pane windows and closed cell foam insulation was utilized throughout for maximum efficiency. The existing detached garage was demolished and in its place DeIulis Brothers constructed a new wing that included a large custom kitchen, upstairs media room and carriage house with garages. DeIulis Brothers utilized its own crews to carry out the delicate interior demolition work, taking great care to salvage original carvings by the famous Salem architect and wood carver, Samuel McIntire, and to install the custom interior finishes on this luxury home restoration that is registered for Silver level certification in the LEED For Homes Program (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), a program established by the U.S. Green Building Council to promote green building standards and environmentally sustainable construction practices.
Restoration and addition to 9,000 square foot Federal period home near Salem Common, originally built in 1811 for the famed jurist for whom the house is named and which is listed on the National Register of Historic Landmarks..
