Berner Construction, Inc.

Established in 2002, Berner Construction, Inc. is a Woman Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) that provides a full range of construction and environmental-related services to both private and public sector clients.

Berner Construction, Inc. has constructed and remediated a wide array of utility, civil and hazardous waste projects. We've performed environmental activities at marine facilities, airports and military facilities, installed utility and security systems at U.S. ports and border crossings, and moved millions of cubic yards of earth in the reclamation of abandoned strip mines and construction of active and passive water treatment systems. While these projects vary in scope, our hands-on approach to construction projects remains the cornerstone of our success.

SAFETY, HEALTH, AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAM

Berner Construction maintains a comprehensive Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) program. Berner Construction's employees are OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 trained and maintain current certifications. Additionally, Berner Construction employees are trained for Permit Required Confined Space (29 CFR 1910.146), Safe Transportation of Hazardous Materials (49 CFR), 10-hour OSHA Jobsite Safety (29 CFR 1926), and first aid and CPR. Berner Construction employees are currently medically qualified to work in Level B environments. Berner Construction also has staff with current Asbestos Containing Material “Supervisor” training and Lead Based Paint “Supervisor” training.

PROFESSIONAL STAFF

Berner Construction maintains licensed professional engineers in Pennsylvania, New York, and North Carolina and Certified Hazardous Materials Managers.

Berner Construction is certified as a “Women Business Enterprise” (WBE) by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Bureau of Minority and Women Business Opportunities and by the City of Philadelphia. Berner Construction is registered in the DOD’s Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database and the Small Business Administration’s Pro-Net database.
