Our Story

Hemlock Construction Company was founded in 1972 by two brothers, Dick and Doug Traub. Dick and Doug had accumulated valuable experience working for state Departments of Transportation, government agencies, and both large and small contractors. The brothers had a vision of creating a company and filling it with employees that shared their values , work ethic, honesty, and integrity.

That company, named after the Hemlock Log cabin they grew up in, was built on the foundations of their experience and leadership and has grown into one of the most respected contractors in Connecticut.

Dick and Doug built a family of loyal, talented employees whom they value very much. Nearly fifty years later, their company continues to complete difficult projects on time and within budget, and most importantly, continues to please customers with its quality and honest work.

???Hemlock Construction Company has been involved in many facets of construction, developing a seemingly endless list of past projects and satisfied customers.  Please look through our information. We would like for you to consider us for your next project . We have generations of knowledge and experience, and we would be delighted to share it with you. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
