Scope Of Work
National Church Residences received a special allocation form the Ohio Housing Finance Agency for Low Income Housing Tax Credits to assist in the development of The Commons at Garden Lake located in Toledo, Ohio. With extensive support from State and local representatives, it was determined that a small portion of the needs in Toledo for Permanent Supportive Housing could be satisfied by a proven Development Team.
NCR and Berardi were selected to produce the 75 unit development designed with 540 square foot one-bedroom units along with common area spaces and accommodations associated with counseling and education. Commons at Garden Lake is a community for formerly homeless and disabled veterans. The building was specifically designed with the special needs of its residents in mind. In addition, supportive services are provided right in the building. Residents receive the services they need that improve mental, emotional, physical, and financial stability including work readiness and employment services to help them gain economic independence.
