Scope Of Work

S.P. McCarl was the General Contractor for the installation of these two glycol housing units for two commercial facilities in State College. The glycol pumps, housing unit, insulation, electrical and controls were included in the project. Pre-fabrication was key for this fast-paced project. The glycol pumps were fabricated in our shop to be set in the housing unit and connected to existing pipes. The housing unit itself was also fabricated which greatly decreased the onsite installation time. All piping, electrical and controls were installed once the unit was set on the roof. All of the offices were occupied during the project. S.P. McCarl worked tirelessly to ensure the current heating wasn’t lost during installation that included night and weekend work. Pre-planning, coordination and scheduling with all trade partners was crucial to ensure the project would go smoothly.
