Scope Of Work
Merlin Industries’ Insulation Specialists installed 4″ thick calcium silicate insulation on the generator exhaust piping, then covered it with a Stevens Cloth jacket and removable insulation pads. The installation provides 3 benefits: 1) it increases the life of the generator and associated parts, 2) it creates a safer work environment for those working near the 1,000 degree parts, and 3) it helps the heat to travel out of the tunnel through the exhaust system.
