Scope Of Work
BuilderGuru Contracting managed the design process alongside Street Sense on this 3,600 square foot full service bar and kitchen. The Engine 6 firehouse is the oldest firehouse in Washington, DC and was built in 1855 for the Metropolitan Hook and Ladder Company. Conserving the historic nature of this building was a vital component in the building process. Structural modifications and upgrade to extend the building’s footprint and support a full service kitchen on the 2nd floor. Structural ceiling timbers remained in place and the brick construction was restored.
