Scope Of Work

Galbraith/Pre-Design, Inc. was contracted to work with D&B Thermal and Food Engineering on a major processing facility interior expansion and renovation project for Pete & Gerry’s Organic Eggs in Greencastle, PA. Work included structural concrete work, reinforced concrete curbs, the addition of several high speed doors, reconfiguration of insulated metal panels and miscellaneous steel work.

Galbraith also completed the work involved to upgrade the process water system for the plant. This included preparing and installing seven new boilers and a booster pump. There was a lot of work and coordination that went into this project, including concrete housekeeping pads, equipment and material delivery schedules, electrical requirements, plumbing requirements and roof work. It was a pleasure working with a facility owner who has invested in growth, innovation and operation expansion for his business. We were happy to be able to complete the renovation work around the plant’s production schedule and ensure all work followed food safety guidelines.
