Scope Of Work
Work with the Nitty Gritty franchise featured separate restaurant remodels of the existing Nitty Gritty location in downtown Madison, as well as two buildings that would eventually become the Middleton and Sun Prairie locations.
The first remodel and addition took place at the downtown restaurant, where Friede crews created the upstairs dining area and bar, nearly doubling their capacity. Two years later, work commenced on the new Middleton branch that included a 5,000-square-foot bar and restaurant overhaul. Ten years later, Friede & Associates completed an entire restaurant remodel for its newest location in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
The success on this trifecta of restaurant remodels can be attributed to Friede & Associates’ flexibility and adaptability, coupled with constant communication with the Nitty Gritty management staff. Extensive work had to be done to create the necessary additional space and functionality that the projects required, while maintaining the distinctness of the Nitty Gritty brand.
